DECEASED ALUM: PAUL HUGHES, FHHS '68
Sadly, our FHHS '68 classmate, Paul Hughes, passed away on March 8 after a brief illness. He had been living in Ireland with his wife Geraldine and his daughter Sarah. As of now, that is all of the details I have to share. Paul lived in Australia for many years and often reached out to his classmates with an enthusiastic "Hey Mate!"

Paul was my best friend for the two years (8th and 9th grade) when we went to Paris American HS. And for the two years I was at Fort Hunt (11th and 12th grade). The last time I saw him was in Ohio 20 years ago.

Paul was a really good guy, and I am sorry to hear of his passing. He was one of the first fellows I got to know after transferring into Ft. Hunt my sophomore year. Very witty and very friendly. Haven't seen Paul since we graduated (I moved to West Coast a couple days after), but have good memories of good times with him. Funny, I have considered moving to Ireland myself, Am sure he loved it.
